Founded in 2022 by a team of passionate gamers and engineers, Yuoy® has come a long way from its beginnings in a small office in California. When we first started out, our goal was to create high quality, affordable controllers and accessories tailored specifically for the Nintendo Switch.
Our Story
The idea for Yuoy® first came about when our founders were looking for a more affordable Pro Controller alternative for their Nintendo Switch. Though the Pro Controller is excellent, its steep $70 price tag just wasn’t viable for the average budget gamer.
After scouring the web and testing out various third party options, they quickly realized there was a lack of quality Switch controllers that offered premium features and performance without the premium price. Most affordable alternatives cut too many corners, were poorly designed, or just didn’t work well with the Switch.
So our founders decided to take matters into their own hands. As engineers and designers themselves, they knew they could develop Switch controllers that offered an unbeatable combination of quality and value. After months of research, iterative prototyping, and testing, the first Yuoy® Switch controllers were born!
The initial product lineup included our now signature Yuoy® Pro Controller, Yuoy® Split Pad Pro, and other essentials like charging docks, carrying cases, and more. We marketed directly to Switch gaming communities and saw immediate positive reception from passionate gamers. They loved the performance, build quality, and features of our controllers—all at just a fraction of the cost of the Nintendo Pro Controller.
Since those early days, we’ve expanded our catalog with even more Yuoy® innovations while staying true to our founding commitment to quality and affordability. As our reputation grew, so did our devoted community of Yuoy fans.
